The National Art School (ENSA) of Dijon with Martine Legac organised in march 2018 a workshop titled : "Monumental". They invited, for one week, the artist plastician Jocelyn Conttencin to recreate one of his performance, with 12 students of the school.

Jocelyn Conttencin wanted to work with us arround memory sharing image through the differents frame of his initial show. Before moving, dancing, playing, we created a magazine with all the pictures each one of us collected. Then with all thoses images in mind, we recreate freely his original show. We were able to build it in one week. We were able to present this show three times at the ENSA.

Monumental is a choregraphic performance based on architecture, graphism and video. What can make a city ? What is a monument ? He took his inspiration through History and also actualities. He wanted to move the statues, the buildings. Not making them alive but put in motion thoses fix images we all got thinking about public space.
